2014 IAAF World Junior Track and Field Championships to be Contested on Beynon Sports Surfaces

July 2014 the world will be watching Eugene, Oregon as they add another feather to their cap and host the World Junior Track & Field Championships at the famed Hayward Field. This will mark the 6th major championship to be run on Hayward Fields state-of-the-art BSS 2000 since 2008.

The industry leading BSS 2000 surface at Hayward Field has played host to major championships, including but not limited to: US Olympics Trials, US Outdoor Track and Field Nationals and NCAA Division I Track and Field Championships. Beynon athletic surfaces can be found in high profile venues across North-America and the globe. This year alone the US and Canadian Olympic trials will both be contested on Beynon surfaces, in addition to numerous other competitions at the NCAA level.

This will mark the first time since the inception of the World Junior Championships in 1986 that the event will take place in the United States. With TrackTown USA’s storied history and reputation for hosting major events there could not have been a more appropriate host city selected.

The World Junior Championships are one of the IAAF’s most prestigious events; it provides a worldwide platform for the superstars of tomorrow to showcase their athletic prowess to a worldwide audience. The athletes will get a chance to compete on the world class BSS 2000 against the best athletes from as many as 200 nations throughout the six-day event.
