Franklin Road Academy has officially selected Beynon Sports Surfaces to replace their existing eight lane track surface with the full pour BSS 1000 10mm embedded surface.
Beynon Sports Surfaces and Franklin Road Academy are pleased to be the first ones to bring a full-pour track surface with all of its benefits to the high school level in the great State of Tennessee. Upon completion in the Summer of 2011 Franklin Road Academy will have a track surface that exceeds the technology of state wide College and University tracks, allowing them to train hard, produce fast times and be the envy of all their competitors.
“We wanted to be able to provide a surface to our athletes that would enable them to train harder, run faster and break PBs” – Kurt Page, Director of Athletics – “We also wanted a surface that would last a long time and continue to perform at a high level throughout its life cycle.”
Beynon Sports Surfaces full pour polyurethane system features a seamless self leveling poured in place installation that eliminates deviations in the substrate and is chemically bonded to the receiving surface. What does this mean for Franklin Road? It means unlike a rolled rubber surface the Beynon surface:
Has the longest life cycle of any track and field surface on the market,
Can be resurfaced for a fraction of the cost of reapplying a rolled rubber track,
Force reduction can be TUNED™ to meet the specific needs of the athletes and coaching staff
Is seamless, whereas a rolled rubber surface has over 5 miles of seams in an 8 lane track
Will not harden with age,
Will not delaminate from the receiving surface
