Duke’s new dedicated Track Stadium showcases Beynon Sports’ Surface

The Blue Devils have a new complex to call home!

Beynon Sports recently completed the installation of the new track surface the Morris Williams Track Stadium. The track is part of a $9 million donation for construction to improve athletic facilities at the university.

The new facility will showcase Beynon Sports’ innovative BSS 1000 athletic surface. Want to learn more on Duke’s choice? Click Here. The (8) eight-lane track will feature a unique two (2) color design along with dedicated jump and throw areas.

Known for being as good (if not better) on race day as it is for training, the BSS 1000 is the same surface installed at high profile track and field venues such as North Carolina State University, East Carolina University, the University of Virginia, UNC Pembroke, East Carolina University, and over 300 other esteemed NCAA and elite high school facilities across North America and around the world.

Bryan Roth reports that the new stadium will be open for athletic events and will also be available for use by the Duke community members and Durham, North Carolina residents.

“After years of strategic planning, it is fun for all of us to see these key ingredients to the Duke Athletics campus being brought to life.” said Mike Cragg, Deputy Director of Athletics/Operations.
