ESPN Wide World of Sports Continues 12-year partnership with Beynon Sports

After 12-years of extensive use the time has come for ESPN Wide World of Sports to rejuvenate their existing Beynon Sports track surface with another Beynon Sports surface, the BSS 2000 Resurfacing System. The 255-acre ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex, one of the busiest sports facilities in America, has played host to more than 350 events and two (2) million athletes, coaches and fans annually since its inception in 1997.

Given the busy schedule of the facility, Beynon was given the challenge of completing the project in a tight timeframe. The nine (9) lane, 10,300 square yard facility was completed and delivered on time due in part to the efficient BSS 2000 Resurfacing System with encapsulated texture.

“The BSS 2000 Resurfacing System enables us to return an aged athletic surface to within International Amateur Athletic Federation (IAAF) parameters for a fraction of the cost and time of replacing an existing surface” John Beynon, President of Beynon Sports “After 12-years of use the original Beynon Sports’ surface we installed was still in good shape and after minimal repair work we were able to apply a thin leveling layer followed by the encapsulated wear layer to ensure we met the aggressive schedule.”
