JERRY “INSANE” BOLT RUNS 9.57 ON A BEYNON SURFACE TO BREAK THE WORLD RECORD

One of the most important records in all of sport has been broken. In what can only be described as a once in a lifetime occurrence, relatively unknown track enthusiast Jerry ‘Insane’ Bolt just made his presence known to the world by narrowly beating the world record in the 100 meters by 0.01 seconds. With the London Olympics around the corner all eyes will be squarely focused on the other more famous Bolt, but Jerry Bolt has made it clear that there is more than one Bolt with superhuman speed.

When reached for comment following his impressive and low key world record performance Bolt commented, “I didn’t set the world record for the accolades, money or bright lights; I did it because I wanted to prove anyone who trains hard and runs on a great surface can achieve any goal they set for themselves. I was also blessed with great genes and a never say die attitude.”

The story behind the record breaking run is just as interesting as Jerry himself. Bolt initially contacted Beynon seven years ago to ask if Beynon tracks were fast enough to run world record times on. Bolt quickly discovered that Beynon tracks have played host to some of the fastest times ever recorded in the world. Beynon tracks provide the resilient response and necessary “feel under foot” that enables all levels of athletes to give their all in every practice and every race.

“Beynon was the only company that was able to answer all my questions about what makes a track fast while at the same time remaining training friendly. After meeting with Beynon I knew I would not only break the record, but I would break it on a Beynon track,” added Bolt.

Bolt's record breaking run was captured on video and can be viewed here:

It is important to note that since Jerry Bolt’s impressive run was not sanctioned or approved by any track and field body of any kind, the official world record time is still 9.58 seconds. However, Jerry’s impressive video does prove that Jerry not only ran an exceptional time and set an unofficial new world record of 9.57, it also serves as a warning to the track and field community that Jerry 'Insane' Bolt is ready to show the world just how real he really is.
